Covering an open Head of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS position

Managing and developing the staff by being onsite a few days a week and otherwise available by email/phone for over a year.

Development of Total Rewards Strategy

Facilitated management discussion and review of current compensation and benefit programs to create a total rewards directional recommendation to the Board Compensation Committee in Q3. This enabled the Committee to take management’s recommendation into consideration early in the process of determining the following year’s compensation program updates.

Advisor on Retirement Plans

Advised non-profits, unions, and companies on the design and ongoing management of retirement arrangements.

Material Management and Presentation to Board Compensation Committee

Worked with management to determine the content of the material to be presented to the Board Compensation Committee and then distributed and presented to the Committee. Worked directly with the Committee Chair and Executive Management.

Update of Benefit Programs and Managing the Open Enrollment process

Worked with 3rd party benefit advisors and Company staff to development the appropriate benefit design updates and pricing for the following years benefit program. Also, managed the review/development communications and systems to execute the open enrollment.

Annual Review of Incentive Plans for Update

Led the review and update of executive, sales and business area incentive plans through meetings and analytical presentations involving line management, finance and executive management. Included the development of incentive plan “risk review” governance.

Drafting CD&A

Led the drafting of the CD&A and orchestrated input from external counsel, finance, external accounting firm, and Company Compensation & Benefits Staff.

Execution of Shareholder Proposals for a new Equity Incentive Plan and a Stock Option Exchange

Led the work with external counsel and accounting firms and Company Legal and Finance departments to prepare shareholder proposals to authorize shares for a new management long-term incentive plan and to authorize the exchange of underwater stock options for a replacement stock option grant.

Implementation of a New HRIS and Update of HR Processes/Policies

Projects have included implementing major upgrades to PeopleSoft, Infor and UltiPro systems including review of existing policies/programs and administrative processes to enhance the delivery of HR programs that better support business objectives.

Project Management of Program Administration Outsourcing

Led the project teams involved in the outsourcing of multiple programs to vendors to gain program efficiency, better employee access and improved communications.
